The Wedding Blitz (Foolish Games, #3) - Leah Spiegel, Megan Summers I love the Foolish Games series, and I think my favorite part about it (besides JT Hawkins, obvs!) is the wonderful, wacky cast of characters. They have all been through a lot over the course of the summer while travelling together on tour with the Grimms Brothers Band. There have been kidnappings, bomb threats, terrorists, deaths. So I was really glad that as the band's tour came to a close, so did all the craziness. Especially now that Joie is pregnant.

In The Wedding Blitz, the crew are in the Seattle area for their last gig and Joie finally meets Hawkins' parents. His dad is warm and receptive of Joie but Mama Hawkins immediately does not approve. I felt really bad for Joie; she's pregnant and emotional and they haven't even told their parents yet about the baby. Hawkins tells her to give her time, his mom will come around. Even though she annoyed me that she didn't even give Joie a chance before discounting her, I could kind of understand where she was coming from. (It also made me aware that I do not want to be that kind of mother in-law in the future!) I liked that Hawkins stood by Joie and defended her from his mom, and still believed that Mama Hawkins would come to her senses in regards to the woman he loves.

As with the previous books, this story isn't without a few twists and surprises. Riley, the self appointed wedding planner, sets up the perfect wedding day and gets his own surprise. Riley is one of my favorite characters. He's always been so supportive and protective of Joie, and it was great to see his happy ending. I've also grown to like Lizzie (I couldn't stand her in the first book, to be honest). She doesn't make excuses for her behavior, she is who she is- which is sort of selfish and self-absorbed but she does love her friends and when it comes down to it, she's got their backs. I think she does grow up a little bit too, without losing her Lizzie-ness :P

The one thing I wasn't happy about Time Out was that there was not enough JT Hawkins. You can't blame me, though, right? I fell for this guy as Joie did, as those layers of jerk peeled off and we saw the real Hawkins. And in this final book I get exactly what I want: lots of Joie and Hawkins. In spite of all that they go through, they truly love one another and when they are together, it's like nothing else exists in the world but them. Oh, and the proposal! Without spoiling too much, I thought it was very fitting where he proposed to her. ;) I especially love the baby letters at the end of the book, which wraps up the story and gives us an extra peek into their lives and the lives of the rest of the gang.

I thought this was a gratifying conclusion to this entertaining series, lots of sweet moments with a happy ending for all :) I look forward to revisiting these books again in the future.

I will end this review with photos of the main cast as I pictured them. Enjoy :)

Malese Jow as Joie:
She's beautiful and she has a girl next door look to her.

Blake Lively as Lizzie:

Joshua Bowman as Riley:

and Jared Leto as JT Hawkins:
I know, he's a little older (age-wise), but he has the whole Hawkins blue eyed rocker look down.
Up in Flames - Nicole Williams out on Amazon now!
Opal - Jennifer L. Armentrout Omg.

....I think I'm going to need a minute.

Daimon - Jennifer L. Armentrout Nice short prequel to Half Blood. Looking forward to starting this series!

I got this free from the publisher's site (Spencer Hill Press)
Obsidian - Jennifer L. Armentrout Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of bad boys.

Daemon Black, you are my new obsession.

Katy is the new girl in town. Three years after the death of her father, Katy and her mom have moved to a small unincorporated town in West Virginia. Like so small you have to go to the next town over to do your grocery shopping. Which, after a couple days of unpacking and hiding out in her new home, she realizes she needs to do. With her mom’s insistence, she goes over to her neighbor’s house to ask for directions to the nearest grocery store where a shirtless Daemon Black answers the door.

He’s a total jerk. And he’s totally hot.

While reading this I tried to imagine the model on the cover of Obsidian but I couldn’t help but think of this Damon image

every time Daemon came to the scene. Right?? Give him green eyes and that’s Daemon Black right there.

Daemon has a twin sister, Dee, who is so sweet, warm and bubbly. Katy and Dee become quick friends, which Daemon is not too pleased with. He doesn’t want Katy anywhere near him or his sister, and he’s not shy about it.

But still, there are moments when he lets his guard down and he’s… kinda sweet. And as the book progresses we start to figure out that there’s a reason for this facade, a secret the Blacks are keeping and they don’t want anyone to find out. Let’s just say it’s out of this world. With Katy in the mix, things get pretty complicated and that is exactly what Daemon does not want.

I love this book. I read this over the course of two nights and with the end of every chapter, I couldn’t wait to read the next. It has everything I love in a good book; a strong heroine who is likable and not annoying and a mysterious, sexy hero. The romance is not rushed, and the build up/tension is awesome. Also, I have a thing for paranormal books and this just really hit the spot!

Five out of five stars

Fallen Crest High (Fallen Crest High, #1) - Tijan Oh the drama!!

Can't wait for the sequel!
Binder Full of Women (Billionaire Binder Series) - Kathleen Miles A quick read. With that title, I just had to check this out.
Fall From Grace (Mad World, #1) - Christine Zolendz oh my gosh, that ending! I need book 2 asap!
Undeniable - Madeline Sheehan
What the what what?? Those were my thoughts right after I finished this book. I really wasn't sure what to think about Undeniable. Reading this was a little like hopping on the crazy train. It was one heck of a ride, that's for sure.
The book spans almost three decades. It opens up with our heroine, Eva (and after watching Wall-E with my two year old over and over and over again, I can't help but think E-vaahhh every time I see that name, which was a little distracting) at age five visiting her father at Riker's. This is where she first meets Deuce, twenty-three, and VP from a rival Biker Club. It's very innocent, and over the years they see one another periodically at club related events, where their attraction to one another grows. When they first act on their attraction, she is sixteen and he is married. And in my opinion, this is where the crazy revs up.
There is some dark stuff that goes down in this book. It is definitely not for everyone. The characters are effed up, dysfunctional, selfish, and I was so hooked on all of it! I think it takes a certain kind of talent that the author was able to write such a story where I couldn't put my Kindle down yet I still wanted to throw it across the room at the same time.

Accidentally on Purpose (Accidentally on Purpose, #1) - L.D. Davis

Wow! Couldn't put this down.

Review to come
Honeymoon in High Heels (A High Heels Mystery #6.5) - Gemma Halliday I am looking forward to more Maddie misadventures! Really enjoyed this short story
Almost Eighteen - Gretchen de la O, Eunice Ortegon

3 1/2 stars. Really liked this. Would have been 4 stars if maybe there was more build up/development to their relationship. It seemed to happen really fast (over the course of a weekend), though they said they both had feelings for each other since they first met.
Looking forward to Part 2!
